New Software Development by Researchers at The Ohio State University.
Scientist and researchers are working hard to develop tiny DNA-based robots and other nanodevices, will deliver medicine inside our bodies, detect the presence of deadly pathogens, and help manufacture increasingly smaller electronics.
In past, Researchers used slower tools with tedious manual steps, the team developed New software, named as MagicDNA for development of nanodevices or DNAbots. With this It’s a encouraging development that DNAbots can be designed just in few minutes instead of days.
Earlier It takes 6 individual components and connect them with joints and hinges and try to make them execute complex motions in 2D. New software Magic DNA accelerates the same not just for 6 but 20 components with complex motions with True 3D ina ‘bottoms-up’ design approach that includes geometry and DNA joining both.
It is anticipated, In next 10 years we will start seeing commercial applications of DNA nanodevices and software like DNA Magic can drive the same.
The software helps researchers design ways to take tiny strands of DNA and combine them into complex structures with parts like rotors and hinges that can move and complete a variety of tasks, including drug delivery.
