Honoured to give Lecture to PhD Scholars, ESG Practitioners , UPG Students at ESG Summit Thailand, held at The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam in Bangkok, Thailand recently (March 15–16, 2023).

My topic,  “How Deeptech Innovations can help in achieving Sustainable Food Security , Global Food Value Chain and Reduce Price ?”

I have chosen this topic because the global food value chain is facing a number of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks due to major events on already rising food prices namely extreme weather ,  lingering impact of todays economic crisis due to 13 wars struck countries and shocks after Covid19.  Due to which an additional 121 Mn. people could face acute food insecurity bringing the total number to 270 Mn., an 82% jump compared to the pre-COVID period. With the world’s population projected to reach 9.7 Bn. by 2050, demand for food production is expected to grow between 25% to 70% over the next 30 years.

In my lecture, I specifically addressed some of Innovative solutions potential to deliver food security, protect nature, lay the foundations for achieving ESG Goals for well fed , nutrition , healthy wellbeing and peaceful societies are needed as a matter of urgency.
